Hilarious Wedding Update.
Our suite is Haunted. We are in the manic stage of organisation for our May wedding and the bridal suite is haunted!
Mum went all detective on the hotel we are staying in. She requested to go nosey at our room before she booked hers and was guided by a keen young receptionist who told of the spooky goings on.
All the spiritual cliches are present. Tv turning on and off, items being thrown, smashing of glasses, bed shaking (not just from the happy couple, weyooo!). Mum reported a 'feeling' on arrival into the room and a cold chill. But that is almost expected from a 15th century Inn. Or perhaps a draught from the recently discovered secret tunnel that runs through to the very church we are getting married in.
Hard evidence of ghostly happenings comes straight from the manageress...
“We’ve had many guests tell us that they’ve seen the ghosts of monks wandering the halls,” McDermott said. “And there are certain rooms or areas that dogs won’t go near. And dogs tend to be much more keen to that type of stuff.”
To be serious, I am suddenly very aware that I have one night to spend in the old wing, in the old room all by myself. A night generally filled with no sleep and nerves. An impromptu sleepover with my bridesmaids might have to happen.
